A lot of us are probably Bear fans unless you are from another state or are a traitor to Illinois and call yourself a Cheese Head. This thread is to post any game previews, news, rumors, or ideas for the team.
The latest is that Chris Harris was released from the team and was picked up by the Lions. Good acquisition for Detroit but it was probably smart to remove Harris since he wasn't happen after the Bears didn't trade him. Now that the Bears may be even weaker at the safety spot, I hope to see a lot of Chris Conte as he looked great last week!
This is a bye week but next week we play the Eagles on MNF. They haven't done too well this year for being a "dream team" so the Bears should attack them right away and don't waste time being afraid of their secondary.

Hey i just had an idea. What if we started a SFGAmWorld.cm fantasy football league?

I cant remember ever being able to say the North is by far the best division in the NFC which it clearly is right now. Packers best team in the league right now no question. Bears have an extremely talented defense as always and when the offensive line holds up Forte and Cutler are both very dangerous. The Bears also have the best special teams package in the league with Hester and Gould, the teams main weaknesses being the recievers not being able to hold onto the ball and a somewhat inconsistent offensive line. Lions have the best WR in the league and a very accurate passing QB which is a lethal combination and have pulled off some impressive wins. If the season ended today all 3 teams would be in the playoffs.
Well, despite some issues here and there, I thought tonight was a pretty solid win for the bears. Most of all, the offensive line impressed me the most. Gave Cutler plenty of time to do his thing and gave up only one sack in a known very hostile enviroment. Other than division games we're pretty much done playing the NFC and we've earned ourselves a wildcard spot for the playoffs with wins over Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Philly as long as we don't go and start loosing a bunch. Bears playoff aspirations are now in their hands to do with what they please.

The thing is, if the line holds for Cutler, he WILL play like a pro bowl quarterback. Of course he will make mistakes but not nearly as many when he can have trust in his line which means not getting knocked down constantly which messes with him mentally. He is a tough a guy and I wish the Bears let him make more decisions than Martz. I'm also happy Bennett is back!

These Bears are playing quite well now that the line has established itself. Thank God, I couldn't stand to watch our pathetic excuse for an offense much longer. Cutler under pressure the second he gets the ball, Forte stuffed in the backfield...those plays are a LOT fewer now and Cutler and Forte are playing pretty damn good. I think Forte's fumbles against Philly were just an aberration and hopefully it doesn't become a habit.
Wonderful win against Detroit. I know our line is having some injury issues with both Chris Williams and Gabe Carimi done for the year. The defense is starting to pack the heat as we go up against a Charger's offensive line that is a bit shaky with some guys missing. Let's see what Peppers does tomorrow!

I think we'll pull out another victory today, I don't know if it will be quite as impressive or intense, but I'm guessing the D will take care of the QB who takes care of the ball the least this season

They are saying he could miss the remainder of the season. It is possible to play with a broken thumb, but it has to be bandaged properly and you have to be careful. I doubt the Bears will take any chances. Looks like Hanie is up!

If it isn't bad enough with Cutler, we have also lost Pat Mannelly for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Mannelly has always been one of the most solid players on the team, he's going to be missed.

Hanie doesn't have to do much, especially now that they are saying Cutler may return before the end of the regular season. He only needs to pass for a little over 150 yards a game if Forte gets going again. The defense will hopefully step up and they should be able to win 3 more and get into the playoffs. I just hope cutler doesn't come back right when the playoffs start. Remember, Oakland is the toughest team the Bears will face the rest of the year (excluding the Packers) so they should make it in.
EDIT: Cutler is to miss about 8 weeks.

Orton is definitely the best option out there. Most teams when suffering an injury like Cutler don't get chances like this with Orton being released. The Bears are suppose to put in a claim sometime today and Orton's agent said he would like to return to Chicago.

As it stands right now, that was a little more than a $2 million dollar flea flicker.
I think bears still have a chance. Atlanta lost today, there is pretty much no way the lions win tonight against the Saints. It's clear the wheels have fallen off and they need to scramble hard and come up with plan B fast, but it's not out of the question, and if we can make it, Cutler should be back for the playoffs, and pending the outcome of Forte's MRI tomorrow, he might be back in time for any playoff action also.
