True Story - Happened while watching "The Patriot" I was 19-20 at the time, she was 17-18 getting ready to graduate High School.

Her: What war was this again?
Me: The revolutionary war.
Her: Who did we fight against?
Me(annoyed): The British....
Her(matter of fact type voice): Well, what were the British doing here in the first place?

Stupidity has a tendency to give me homicidal feelings. After the urge to kill had faded it was still a little bit longer before I attempted to talk to her again.

And yes.. She had to repeat her American History class during the summer between Junior & Senior years. It appeared to have no effect though.

So, learn history or risk pissing people like me off, or even worse, you could end up on JayWalking
