Are you a successful Poster??

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.
Postby Jamesb58 on June 13th, 2005, 11:54 pm
Hey Everyone:

I'm bored, so I decided to do something. As I was going through this Forum
I thought to myself, how do you know if you are a successful Poster?

Well, I look at success in 2 Areas. Total # of Topics Created and
Total # of views. If you have a low number of created Topics and
a High number of Views, you are successful.

If you have a high number of topics and a low number of views, you
are unsuccessful.

So, what are your # of Topics and Views???

As of 06/13 @ 11:52PM I am at 13 Topics and 10,246 Views.

Uh, I think being a sucessful poster has alot more to do with having peoples respect.

Just because you have 10,000 views could mean that 9000 of the 10,000 people that viewed it thought it was bad.

I think I'm not the only one when I say that I look at every topic that has a new post every time I log on. It doesn't matter if I like it or not, I'll at least look at it. So no, your method of "being a good poster" does not work.

You should factor locked topics, and replies into your formula.

actually, that'd be a cool Perl program if you put in more dimensions, then we could see who's #1 on the board.

I rarely make topics. I look at most of the topics but don't post too much outside of the Off Topic forum because I usually don't have that much to add to the discussion. I'm probably not the most respected member but definitely not the least.

I try not to make topics, unless I feel like I have to.

Otherwise I just kind of post.

Isn't it harder to type in 1337 than normal? I don't understand the point in it. Then again...I'm not a gamer.

It's much harder for people who aren't hardc0r3 nerds.

Anyways back on topic I have three words to answer the question: No I'm Not.

1337 was actually created as a way to talk about hacking on message boards without having them show up on search engines. If someone searched "hack", someone saying "137'5 h4x0r 7h15 5173" would not show up.
