The first pitchers and catchers report in 4 days for spring training, so figured this would be a great time to start a thread. Feel free to post anything about the upcoming and past MLB seasons.
Being a Chicago White Sox and Washington Nationals fan this will be a potentially great and awful season. The Sox have all the pieces to win the AL Central this year. Adam Dunn was a great signing and they sured up the middle relief some. I'm a huge fan of the team getting rid of Bobby Jenks and welcome the closer fight this spring.
For the Nationals, things look awful again. The signing of Jayson Werth was the single worst signing in MLB history and only makes the team worse in the long run. The team added no starters of note and are left with Livan Hernandez or Jason Marquis are the staff "ace." Should be another 90-100 loss season.
The Brew Crew signed Grienke and a few other relievers during the offseason. We gave up practically our entire AAA team for them, but it atleast poises us to be competitive for the pennant this year.
Oh, and we also have a high school caliber shortstop right now. Might want to look into that...

Games have started for almost every MLB. One of the few teams who have not played yet are the Houston Astros. Tomorrow I will be off to practice to get a batting helmet signed by everyone I can. Then it's off to my first Spring Training game Monday of Astros vs. Braves at WDW.
