Other "Enthusiasts" in the World

I know there are car enthusiasts, and sports enthusiasts (They have to watch every single game, have to be in all the fantasy leagues, and get all the cards, and what not. I like sports, but not am not desperately obsessed over them. You have season ticket people for Cubs games, and Bears games, and whatnot), but I just wonder how many enthusiasts people their are around the world for doing something in particular? Their must be people that want to check out every restaurant known to man (I heard of a person that has visited every Mcdonald's even.), and their must be people checking out all the hotels around.

What about museum type of people, zoo type of people that maybe visit twice a week, or a person that must visit all the tourist traps? How about a person that must go to the mall every single day, or check out all the malls around the area to see how they are all different? I guess it just seems interesting that we aren't the only ones with a passion around. Maybe, a person that checks out the mall every day of the week or maybe 2 days a week doesn't post on message boards about their mall experiences and what not, but those people are "obsessed" like we are with coasters / flat rides, and some people waterparks.

^To see if people can think of any other enthusiasts type of people in the world. And to mention that coaster enthusiasts aren't the only enthusiasts in the world. I go to the Brookfield Zoo about once a year, and there are probably people that know what the new attraction is going to be for next year, or have speculation. Maybe, they know all the births, and deaths at the zoo, and they don't even work there. To them, I would be considered GP at the zoo.

Anything Sci-Fi comes to mind right off the bat. Having seen the insanity that was Star Wars Celebration 5 this last weekend down here, coaster nerds can not hold a candle to their dedication.

Funny you bring up the Zoo. Growing up, my aunt and I would go once a week. We knew the majority of the animals by name. We were able to identify the giraffes by special marks on them, therefore knowing who was who. We did all of the backstage stuff you could like the "Be A Keeper For A Day" and "Be A Dolphin Trainer" and stuff like that. We always adopted a new animal every year. Always pointed out that the giraffes are buried by the old entrance to the zoo where those huge plots of grass are. Dorky stuff. Probably even worse than I am/was with amusement parks.

It was actually really fun. Zoo's are something else im really into now that I come to think of it. Especially learning how they operate and stuff.

That would be me, dead malls in particular. Once in awhile I'll wander around one and take some pics, spent several hours at Randhurst on its last day. Just went through Belvidere Mall in Waukegan the other day, which isn't dead but it's extremely similar to Dixie Square. It's really fascinating to see a HUGE place that should be totally packed with people wind up being disposable in the end.
