So I have always been a big fan of Courtney Cox, 45. She was my favorite from Friends (1994-2004) and I loved her wicked ways as Gale Weathers in Scream 1, 2, 3 and 4 (2010). She hasn't done a lot since the show ended. A few low budget movies, 2 Adam Sandler comedies, FX's Dirt and not much else comes to mind. So I was intrigued when I heard she was starring in a new comedy for ABC (Wednesdays 8:30) about a 40 year old divorcee trying to rebuild her love life while raising a teenage son. The show, while not perfect, is a great reminder Cox does comedy better than most woman her age even Jennifer Aniston, 40. While some gags feel forced and contrived, Cox makes you still smile and forgive. While no Friends (Can any sitcom be?) Cougar Town is definitely a keeper. This cougar will devour its prey for the rest of the season (ABC has picked it up).
