Im looking for some budget friendly haunted houses in the NW Indiana/Illinois area,id like to stay in the area not like anything 2-4 hours away. Most haunted houses now a days are like 30.00+ to get in that becomes a little pricey in the long run. This might be a great post so any replies are welcome! im sure we are all looking for a lil scare and a way to save a little $$$ thanks!

Also if u can link me or know of any inexpensive haunted houses that would be helpful as well so i can look up for driving directions and stuff. thanks again!

These are all the haunted houses in IL.
http://www.hauntedillinois.com/eventlisting.php

Go to (once on that link)
Click here to see more Haunted Houses and Halloween Events... (towards the middle of the page),
and than you will get to see all of them.

Than at the top of that page, find in a red box Search by: "Event Type." Than, put Haunted Houses out of the things that come up.

The 3 haunted houses I know (besides Great America) are St. Charles Jaycees Haunted House http://www.stcharlesjaycees.org/hh05%20flyer.htm (I've never been it, but I see it around.), Sony Acres barn in West Chicago, IL (This one I have been in, and it's a bunch of cages, and props. There are some scary people though.), and Haunted Trails in Burbank, IL has one. I haven't been in that one.

I'm not a Haunted House type of person. I'm a looking at Halloween props type of person, but yet the goal of a Haunted House is for the people to not stay long enough and look at the props. Move people through, bring more people in. yada yada. I would be interested in a haunted house like Universal has had though (Friday the 13th, Chucky, Saw, and A Nightmare on Elm Street) because that stuff you just don't see anywhere else.

I don't know what the price is, but the Dungeon of Doom is really good. It used to be at the lake county fair grounds, but they moved it to Zion this year.

I work at Eleventh Hour Haunted House in Elk Grove Village and it is 20 dollars for 4 haunted houses and a corn maze. The haunted house is really scary and the corn maze has actors in it too. http://eleventhhour.info/
