The Hawks actually got lucky to be playing the Flames in the first round. They just blew a huge lead in their division to the Canucks who are playing amazing. Not only that, the Flames have so many injury problems especially on their blue line, but they do have Jokinen now, who they did not have when the Hawks played them this season. Hawks have the season series 4-0 over the Flames, but with Khabibulin playing the way he is and the return of Sharp, this team should win in six games, hoping 5 so it can be done at home.
And who are the Wolves... Went to one of their games, won't go back. People don't go to watch hockey there, its more of a family thing, I'll stick with the Hawks as I did through those tough years with "Million Dollar" Bill Wirtz...such a dumbass.
I am only expecting a second round trip and out this year for this team cause I see the West with Sharks, Wings, Blues and Hawks coming out of the first round. That leaves the Hawks with the Wings, that'd be awesome, but I don't think they have enough experience yet, hopefully they can pull it out though. They most likely will not win the cup this year, still about 2 years out, maybe one, depends on the off-season moves and signings.

I
I know right
I have season tickets to the Admirals and there is a very small group of people that go and watch the game. Its sucks when they have a free shirt give away or something and the whole place is over filled with family's that don't watch the game but stay for the entertainment between periods. Theres actually a section (section 200) for all the fans/season pass holders go...its actually nice of the Bradly Center to do that.
I wish Milwaukee would get an NHL team so I could actually go watch a "real" hockey game
Until then, I'm stuck watching all games on NHL Center Ice at home.
Minor league sports are all about being more affordable for families with more promotions (and publicity stunts), pretty much the only way they can get people to go there.
Greatest game of the series thus far, put 7 past the "best" goalie in the league (I think Thomas is better). What a game and a series, and thankfully they won as I got games A and B in round 3, and I will get to use them!

After beating out the Canucks last week, everytime I wear my jersey, somebody, somewhere, will say either "Go Hawks, or Detroit Sucks". Today I walked by an SUV with a father, and his three kids in the car. They saw my Hawks jersey, and the father said "Go Hawks", and all three kids in the back started chanting "Lets go Hawks, lets go Hawks", with their fists pumping out the window. Thank you to Rocky, John, Dale, and Joel for not only making one of the greatest games on Earth relavent again in Chicago, but for putting together a team of young, soon to be, if not yet, stars that will shine for a long time. Cubs? Sox? Bulls? Bears? who cares, for right now this is Hawkeytown.
The Ducks pushed Detoilet to 7 games, and the Hawks are far superior than the Ducks are, so anything can happen, but, I don't think the Hawks have what it takes YET. I hope they prove me wrong.
oh, and........
LETS GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
That was an awesome game, and on top of it, I'd have to say, by far the best sporting event I've ever been to, and I've been to all the other sport's playoff games. The atmosphere was unlike any other game, so loud and crazy. Now, let's see if Sunday can top Friday's game, go Hawks!

Although losing Khabibulin (signed with Edmonton) and Havlat (probably wont be resigned) stings, both were injury prone and I think having Hossa will make the Hawks more legitamite contenders against Detroit. Ive always liked Huet as a backup and hope he steps up to the plate.
