I'm sorry, but this is just way too epic to pass up.
This upcoming May 15th, everyone from around the world is going to buy carrots. Yes, carrots. Lots of them. Everyone. Why? Because. A Facebook group dedicated to the panic-buy of carrots on May 15th has already snagged over 200,000 people.
I'm definitely going for it. What do y'all think? Buy some carrots May 15th? Eh? EEHHH??
I just think a consumer-induced panic buy of carrots would be funny. I do not know what makes things funny -- some things just are to some people. Like causing thousands of people to travel store to store in hopes of finding carrots only to have their dreams crushed, or raising an eyebrow of every produce manager, or just simply confusing a few delivery truck drivers by ordering carrots online. Here's your package: 47 carrots. Why carrots, though? Because they are orange, and yet not called oranges. I find this to be fruit-supremacist bigotry against vegetables. And that is wrong. We must show appreciation for our carrots in order to build a better world for tomorrow in which all food groups are embraced. Today.
