I have to wait now before I can get out there to see it because my brakes are almost shot. I still have to get out there soon before they tear it down (do they really need to build another Walgreens there?)
Walgreens is building ANOTHER store here in Bolingbrook! They are buiding it right over a wetland too, which kinda pisses me off. There's now Eight walgreens! I can't believe they'd tear that down just to put in something like that.
Still, there's almost a dozen Starbucks. God I hate our mayor.
actually yeah it is being built right over the gateway wetlands here in bolingbrook
nice try

yeah i know there is one here in meijer on the west side of town, one directly across the street, one just opened at lily cache and weber (or is it veterans parkway i always get them mixed up) three in the promenade (in Macy's, Barnes & Noble, and a stand alone) plus the one that was there before the mall opened (next to Jared and Potbelly's) and one at remington blvd. and 53
Galvan316 wrote:^ Apparently you've never been to oh i dont know, DOWNTOWN CHICAGO, where theres a Walgreens pretty much on every street corner.
And I seriously doubt that Walgreens would but a new store on a federally protected wetland.
Nice Try though.
And Props to JonRev, who is going to North Riverside. Congrats!
Haha, yeah, definitely. I can look out my window and count 7 right now (not even kidding).
As for building on Wetlands, it is a law that if a builder builds over or in a wetlands, they have to double the amount of area they take up. For example, if this Walgreens builds on 3000 sq. ft of wetlands, it has to build 6000 sq. ft. elsewhere or next to it. Therefore, don't get so worried, you'll see a new one pop up after construction (though i doubt they are building over the wetlands, over a retention pond maybe?)

^Either way, that's what will happen. I'm actually doing a project in Lake Villa that has similar restraints with their wetlands (good thing it's only a school project, cause i totally destroyed them )
