^ Really? Me and my husband actually broke our contract from Sprint because they were so lousy. We love Verizon now! He got the Envy ( great phone by the way ) and I got the Cherry Chocolate and I hate it. It feels like the phone came from a bubble gum machine
I didn't much like the prepaid service...my old old phone that I inherited from my now ex (YAY!!!) bf was a prepaid with Verizon service. Now, it could've been the phone itself was pretty icky...non digital Kyocera...
I've had Cingular now for the past several years...since 2004, I think. Both my phones with Cingular have been Samsung. I first had the x427 which was a great phone, but I like the new one better...I have the Samsung D807. Has bluetooth, so I like it better.
I am SCATTERBRAINED, so I have this habit of losing my phone everywhere...I bought a bluetooth earpiece so now I wear that and don't have to worry about not being able to get to my phone when it rings....
Also...the Cingular rollover minutes are a bonus. I'm nervous about the ATT merger though...how's service gonna be, right?
Oh well...at least it not becoming Sprint PCS, right?? I heard they're REALLY bad....anyone??
Punkbunny!!!! Glad to see you haven't keeled over at work or anything....
I was thinking about going back to Verizon last year, but decided against it for reasons I don't really remember....I think it was something to do with the rate plans...
I'm just afraid it would suck again like it did with that old/ancient phone....
I mean, it was still the thick, plastic model phones..
Cingular is starting to piss me off. I have no reception in some places, especially my school. Sometimes I NEED to send someone a message during school and it really pisses me off when it won't send. And there were times when I really had to call someone but I had no signal. Most of my other friends have reception all the time... Fewest dropped calls, yeah right. I'm gonna switch to T-Mobile once my contract is up in February.

I know rite. I have the same problem with my phone. I may get T-Mobile MyFaves or Verizon. Don't Know. And as far as the new AT&T goes, I think they are now AT&T. I just don't understand now. First it was just AT&T Wireless then Cingular merged with them and they were Cingular. NOW AT&T and SBC joined forces and they are now AT&T(Don't forget Bellsouth also whoever lives in the South).
From being one of the class geeks in 8th grade to one of the most noticable ones in High School. Thats what you call "Steppin Yo Game Up!"
I'm gonna give it some time and see how it is...if I start having issues, I may just bite the bullet and check out verizon again or something...
Pisses me off though because I'm not even a year into my contract...that won't happen until October.
On the other hand, verizon might be good...I need to get something with GPS...I am HORRIBLE with directions/knowing where I'm going, so that would be a big factor...
I like the rollover minutes with Cingular...or I mean, ATT...that's the kicker because I don't always use all the monthly minutes...
I guess I'll give it until I find another job and see how my phone service is...
I know I used to have trouble keeping calls in places like Sam's Club or Walmart and I really haven't had a problem now, so...it could just be my area. I don't know...
Well if you like phones with music capability and gps and all that 3G stuff go with verizon they have really nice phones llike Punk Bunny said the Envy is pretty amazing but it's kinda chunky . But if your gonna go to Cingular I suggest you don't because they have pretty bad reception even though they teamed up with att. You can go with T-Mobile they have the best customer support I have every had and they have pretty decent plans and some great deals on phones. You can always go to Sprint they have decent service and i know they get service in most places.
