Not sure if you guys saw this but...this movie right here talks about the wadsworth area in 1977. It deals about these movie geeks trying to make a movie but hte point of the topic is that it takes place in wadsworth. Its a true story, they mention Warren High School and the Genesse theatre, which used to and regained its central tourism in Waukegan. Now the school the kids are in is actually at Waukegan High School not Warren. They couldnt film it at Warren because there school is to new. If you look at the preview, you can see the eagle and dare devil dive in the background. take a look and let me know what you guys think!
I wanna see it just because I can totally relate to it. According to imbd.com this movie has been pushed back a long time. If it does premiere on 5-25-07, I'm curious if it's a strictly indie release or if a studio bought it.
Any insight, demon boy? There a way I can get invited to the premiere?
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.
^Well, the premeire date was actually Kaiko's idea (Mrs. Johnson). It was supposed to premeire last august, but it was no where near ready and so they went with this special tribute date.
As far as an invite, i'll get back to you on that. They didnt think the movie was going to be that big (Until i called them last night and gave them all the anticipation news ) There are two ideas for the opening. One- have the movie actualy start the same time Star Wars did (trust me, he has that)
Two- have a midnight showing the night before.
Chitown wrote: Definitely will have to check out this movie. Not because the park is in it, but because it's based on kids at Warren High School.
Chitown (Warren class of 1989). I know, I am old, but not as old as the kids based in this movie.
I also want to see this movie for the same reason. Warren Class of 1991 for me.
Hey you know what....I have a yearbook from 1989...maybe I should pull out that book, find your picture, and post it! Of course, if I did that, you would probably do the same back at me.
Anyway, I hope someone keeps us posted on this, as I know a lot of my friends would like to go see it.
