Installing a New Font

I downloaded a font, but I don't know how to install it on MS Word. Anybody know how?

alright steps...

1.open the file to where the font is im my computer
2.once file is opened minamize the window
3.open control panel
4.click apperance and themes
5.click on fonts (left hand corner where is says see also...)
---Now the font i have is halo so i'll use it as an example.
6.bring up the file that you minamized
7.drag and drop halo to the other window with all the listed fonts
---once again halo is an example font nam ecan be different
---make sure you draged and dropped the one that says halo, NOT halo font or halo out line and it should be in windows word
