As the region continues to swelter in near triple digit heat and humidity. The end of our heat wave looks to be insight tomorrow night.
However, the break in the heat means potentially a potentually dangerous Severe Weather outbreak is likely.
Currently Atmospehere conditions look to be favorable for Supercell thunderstorms that means any of the storms could be tornadic as well as drop large hail and very damaging winds.

I can't wait... I just kind of hope the power doesn't go out this time, if the storms even come here.

There's still storms down in Kansas, that just may get here. It's hard to tell though.

I love rain sometimes, especially at night!
I hope this heat wave ends, so I can go to SFGAm soon without anyone fainting...

Had a decent 5 minute heavy down pour here tonight, wasn't that special...and it's still warm outside.

Still thundering and lightning by my house. The rain just stopped a little while ago.

There were like 3 storms here tonight. One started, then ended some odd minutes later... another started, followed by another. Some pretty interesting lightning strikes, I guess it poured too. Still raining a bit.

I was in downtown Elmhurst from 7 to 10 P.M. last night and it was mainly just thunder and lightning. Then it rained once I got in my car, and poured the whole way home. Then it stopped for like 20 mins. And then it started again, this time worse than before, and it went on for several hours. I went to sleep sometime during it. And it started again around 5 A.M. this time with just pouring rain, no thunder or lightning.

Yeah, around 5:20 I woke up and heard lots of rain and thunder, also pretty windy. Some of the thunder shook the house. I lost about an hour of sleep because of that.
