^Six Flags needs to start announcing rides earlier to gain investor confidence earlier. They can make more money if they start marketing their rides at the end of the season with season pass sales and then announce them during investor calls.
...That is if Six Flags makes it to their next investor call.

Well announcing new rides during investor calls can be risky, they could probably say what parks are getting stuff, but it's best not to be specific. Last thing you want to hear from a company that you've invested in is that they are spending a whole bunch of money that they don't have.

^ Well I doubt we'd get two new mega coasters added a season after we got TDK!
Also, I did not feel that TDK was much of an eyesore as many people have stated. SFGAdv's was just plopped down and ours is just tucked away by Superman, so I think repainting it can wait.
The chance of us getting a coaster is very slim, but some new flats and overall park improvement would be realistic and great for the park.

Well there have to be some flats out there that are thrilling. I really doubt that we will get a new coaster, many other parks want coasters too. But I do agree with you about TDK, the GP wants something thrilling, but SF thinks that they filled that quota with TDK, which is obviously not true. So all I'm saying is that I'm not getting hyped about a new coaster
Also, where would any new mega coaster go? How much land does SFGAm have? I guess maybe if they took out IW?

Check the topic's title.
rcoaster wrote:Maybe a dive machine? This actually looks like it can work... This is skeikra, so the ride type would be a bit different and more custom for our park. This looks like a good idea for the park!
Those dive machine rumors are very plausable.
Ever since I can remember, I've had memories... If life sucks, you're doing it wrong.
My only question about that Sheikra picture is, assuming that rcoaster used photoshop or some other program, does it fit the same scale? Does it actually fit the land THAT perfectly, or could it have shrunken will being placed to make it SEEM like it fit there (No offense rcoaster, but it could have happened). I think its just too perfect. Also dive coasters cost quite a lot of money. The question is now, does Six Flags have the money?
EDIT: Looking at Microsoft Virtual Earth again, if Sheikra does fit perfectly into the land, I'm pretty sure it would affect demon. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It might affect Demon, it might not. If we did get a dive machine i dont think we would be exactly like sheikra either.
Just a tought, but when they said sheikra was being built i didnt think it was possible for a big coaster to fit in a tiny spece. We could be suprised, who knows?
You have to remember that Dive Machines are completely custom and can pretty much go anywhere with little space.

Dark Knights announcement was the earliest in memory, generally they announce in Jan or Feb.
Six Flags was hell-bent on selling 08 season passes during fall of 07, which makes sense knowing that gas prices would be going up, three rides were being removed, and parking situations might change...
I do think that HH could use an expansion, however I dont think using Vu's spot for a water ride is really neccessary when they could connect the spot with SWF for something that could increase attendance way more than a slow, lowish capacity water ride and make up for the loss of a real good coaster. Instead of building a new water ride, GAm needs to worry more about running full capacity on their current water rides which can be people eating monsters if running capacity.
Also water rides are always being closed at times of low attendance (or having reduced operating schedules), so by adding a new water ride the thought process of the operations management will be "Well we have a new water ride that is open, so people wont be affected to much if we close Clipper right now..." Then theres also an issue of will the ride be open during fall, as they cut Rapids fall operation which leaves no water rides open. Then theres more questions, water rides and County Fair rides open at 11 but with it being a new ride with a crowd will they have it open at 10, meaning they would probably want Demon open at 10 also, stuff im sure will be evaluated and decided over the offseason.
A. If they do not add a new coaster next year I will not be going during the regular season but probably fright fest. B. If they add something in Vu and SWF's spot other than a coaster I will probably not come back to the park for a long time. I'm sick of waiting for a new big coaster.
Does anyone else feel this way too? Because all of the coasters have gotten boring and when I go to the park and nothing new and EXCITING has been added it makes everything else seem unexciting, but as long as SFGAM is still running I will always go to FF because that is just awesome.

Totally Agree! I have a season pass and have had one for the past 10 years, but this is the first year I have not had any intention to go back since the opening. The park is boring to me now with nothing new and exciting! If nothing big goes in next year I for sure will not be buying a season pass, I'd rather get one for Cedar Point!
