Friday looks bad, but it looks like the weather's going to be fantastic on Saturday and Sunday. I'm not going to the park this weekend, but it'd be awesome to hear how things go for the rest of you.

I've been saying this about the blue side since the start of last year, but Jiggidy would have ridden the red side last weekend so I wonder if they did some work on it. (For the record, I've never found Eagle to be that rough, but blue side was in fact noticeably smoother last year.)

I don’t know that they should really do that cause people will be showing up to that entrance but they could be using it for Maxx construction vehicles/crew.

They sometimes do that anyway - there was a time I went last year and it was closed with no explanation. They also didn't have any signs or anything about where the main entrance was, and obviously I knew but it could have been very confusing for somebody who didn't.
Instead of being at Great America tonight, Im at King's Island tonight and tomorrow for passholder preview and opening day, being the 40th anniversary of the Beast and all that. Then on Sunday I'll be at SFGAm for member day when the weather looks great for riding. I hope they'll have the red side of Eagle somewhat retracked and open so I can compare it to the somewhat retracked Beast.
Employees were talking about some sort of power outage an hour ago... makes sense because American Eagle, Goliath, Little Dipper, Batman, Mardi Gras Hangover, and Superman were all down for a bit.

They just announced that power is out in parts of the park (but not in Orleans Place where I am).
Crazy windy here. Just saw a sign fall off a food place and hit somebody in the head...

YIKES! Glad I'm going tomorrow instead.
They say there isn't a spot in the park where rusting metal or peeling paint is at least 15 feet away from you.
Yeah there were three power outages while i was there. Goliath, Demon, & XF were all stuck heading into or on the lift, AE was down as well. Then we headed over to Rb since that was all down & it happened over there. Lol the wind was wild. It made it feel like Bull was going 85mph. Surprisingly GD & SkyTrek were open the entire time I was there while Joker was really the only thing down for wind. Everything else seemed to be power outage related.
Did anyone buy food today? Last Spring, it seemed as though the park was woefully understaffed at the Dining locations. Even though it didn't seem that the park was that busy, we stood in line and waited for food for almost 40 minutes. Curious if the same thing is happening during 2019's opening weekend.
