Gwazi, the pile of wood that some people still call a roller coaster is finally being town down at BGT. Can't say it was a surprise considering they "retired" one side of the coaster nearly two years ago (literally built a bridge for fast pass queue guests over the track).

Oh looking at it was frightful, but riding it was far from delightful. The one thing the park'll have heard: Let it burn, let it burn, let it burn!
The one thing we liked was it stopping, I brought popcorn to see the workers start chopping. Quite a few people would keep it in an urn, so let it burn, let it burn!
We'll be happy for saying good bye, For all the bad memories of the ride. But once the wood is warm, All the way home I'll have joy.
And the ride sure won't be missed, nobody will be holdin' up fists. If anybody does, they'll learn, let it burn, let it burn, let it burn!

Aw, the fire is slowly dying, but at least nobody's crying. The one thing the park'll have heard: Let it burn, let it burn, let it burn!
Within a year of it opening I found it to be a borderline top 10 coaster. Of course I haven't been to FL since 04 when it was already getting pretty rough, I hear it turned into quite the crapfest since though.

I had the misfortune of riding both sides, and hated both. I am glad (if nothing else for the sake of their patrons) that it will no linger be running. They can use that space for something nice.

I say good riddance. I rode this piece of junk both before and right after the millenium flyer trains were installed. They didn't help. It has extremely poor ridership and takes up a ton of room. I think BGT needs to use this large space to finally get a hyper/giga in Florida. It's ridiculous that there is not one in the entire state. This should have been done a decade ago.
