Spooktacular Fun Awaits Guests at Six Flags Fright Fest This Fall - and a Cockroach Is Your Ticket to the Front of the Line!
NEW YORK, Sept. 13 -- Six Flags (NYSE: SIX) is preparing to scare up some fun this fall with its famous "Fright Fest" Halloween celebration! Every weekend beginning September 29th, Six Flags parks are transformed into haunted scream parks that harbor ghosts and goblins of every shape and size. This year, to complement Six Flags' family entertainment focus, the celebration will adopt a "Family By Day, Fright By Night" theme -- when family-friendly entertainment offerings will be available earlier in the day, and scarier, more daring alternatives will take the stage at night.
During the day, costumed characters, hayrides, trick-or-treating and not- so-scary creep shows will delight the little ones and scaredy-cats, while at night haunted houses, mind-altering illusions, ghouls and zombies are ready to frighten those brave enough to visit after dusk. Every park will also host a variety of special events -- screaming contests, zombie parties, Halloween weddings, karaoke, costume contests and more.
And to put the "bite" in Fright Fest this year, on nights during opening weekend a live cockroach will be guests' Ticket to Terror -- and the front of the line! Courageous volunteers who opt to chow down on one of these creepy critters will be granted an instant place at the front of the line for some of Six Flags' most popular rides and attractions. Daring guests willing to eat their way to the front of the line will have to be quick! Cockroaches can run at a speed of three miles per hour. The nutritional benefit? Cockroaches are extremely low in fat and high in protein.
In addition to creepy Fright Fest chills, Six Flags guests will have the most dramatic thrills! When they come for Fright Fest's tricks and treats, guests can experience one last spin on some of Six Flags' unparalleled thrill rides, from Six Flags New England's SUPERMAN - Ride of Steel, voted best steel coaster in the nation by Amusement Today magazine, to Six Flags Great Adventure's El Toro; Six Flags Magic Mountain's Tatsu; Six Flags Over Georgia's Goliath; and dozens more. And don't forget those pint-sized goblins, who will certainly want to squeeze in one last squeal on the ROAD RUNNER Express, TWEETY Tweehouse and Goliath Jr. to name just a few.

Holy crap! I'll absolutley do that! The lines at FF are so long that its worth it, and if the peeps on fear factor can do it, so can i because it think thats better that 50 grand
There is no age restriction, but you have to sign a waiver form and have to be of a certain age to sign it, otherwise you need a parent or gaurdain to sign it for you if you are not a certain age. That is what I have heard about this, but the first time I heard it, I didnt believe it, but I guess it's true.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
you won't see me eating a live cockroach!!!!! EWWWWWWWW
seems kind of like last year. Happy kid fright fest during the day, creepy scary fright fest at night.....that works.....no little kids should get the pants scared off them.
Like i said, i'd do it but my mom is telling me i cant. But i dont really care because i go to FF to hang out and walk around, see stuff, get scared occasionaly, haunted houses, and mess with characters not the rides.
I can live with long lines. As long as it's FF, I'm okay with them. Hmm, I wonder if my boyfriend would eat them? I certainly wouldn't, that's extremely gross.
F That! i just looked it up on google.. That's SICK! if it was a normal reg. sized cockroach i'd do it....But.. God! thats sickening id rather eat sum1s scab than that...
