My guess is they're leftover fields from some sort of upgrade... either that or I'm just getting some weird glitch.

I've noticed that. It seems odd, but so what?
Those were for features that I had hacked in, and then when I upgraded the forums later left out since they were unused.
I coiuld go through and remove those fields, but on 56k right now, I'm not even going to try. Licensed Mechanical Engineer
