7/27/15- Slow Operations...a New Trend?

Let us know how your day at the park was.

A friend and I had visited on 7/27. She hadn't been there for about 4-5 years so everything was unfamiliar to her...

Is it just me or has operations seriously taken a major downfall? We had a pretty decent day (crowds weren't too bad) but it seemed like each crew managed to successfully stack each coaster and for a good chunk of time.

Superman: sitting in the back row loaded for about 3-5 minutes before any hosts came to check restraints.

Bull: the crew had managed to stack all 3 trains on and off for a good 10 cycles or so while standing in line. Once we got to the station there was even a supervisor present in the station and didn't even seemed concerned about the lack of a slow moving crew as they continued to stack and putz around.

Demon...did one ride on this; the crew wouldn't even begin to check the train until the previous one made it to the transfer brakes (really???)

V2 had many cycles where there were about 5 minutes (or more) in-between dispatches.

The X-Flight Crew seemed to be the most efficient at moving and trying to get people through; followed by Viper.

I understand that guests are not always the brightest when it comes to these things...but I'm not 100% convinced that was the case.

Is this the new norm that has really become that noticeable for me now? It seemed like the last few seasons have been spotty but it seems like there's no sense of urgency or working with the intent to get people through the lines. We ended up leaving around 9:30ish to beat traffic out but I wondered how late the crews were getting out each night with those kind of sub-par operations.

I guess I think back to the seasons that I worked there as a ride host and lead and thinking to myself "wow...this "slowness" of team members really wasn't acceptable"....is this the new norm/standard now or what? I'm curious as to what others think.

It's been like that for a couple years now. Terrible operations is most def the norm now. Hopefully it changes, but I doubt it will until there's a management change at the park level.

But it's good operations compared to other parks.
