I just saw at Coasterbuzz and on the FOX news that riders were stuck on TF: FS at SFA. It must be big because it was on a Chicago news program. Any one know any more on it?
LOL... Why are they making a big deal of this? I just saw it on our local CBS news station... I can't believe that they had this stupid thing on the news, but I never saw anything about TTD... Dragster is a much bigger deal than this. Lol.
Top Thrill Dragster? You mean Top Thrill Disaster, it didn't cause the "horror" and "drama" of causing people to sit in seats for 1 1/2 hours sitting at a 45 degree angle. Oh the horror!!! I loved how MSNBC said that it runs 2 trains and has 30 curves, 4 loops and one corkscrew. They were reading the stats off the six flags site, and on the six flags site it has jokers jinx's info for Two face lol. Lots of crack reporting being done, or reporters on crack you choose.
the one coaster i wouldn't want to get stuck on at the top of the lift hill would be superman.i wouldn't mind getting stuck on TTD though, right at the top, it just stops. its a slim to none chance but if it happened what would they do, send the new guy up 420 feet and make him push it with a broom handle
It just goes to show you that my uncle is right when he says the most reliable and important news is delivered by the Daily Show... Otherwise, it's sensationalized non-news.
Yes, we all want to get stuck. That way, we don't get to have a good ride, but rather waste time sitting in a seat waiting to be unloaded in an akward position.
It used to sound cool to me, but after thinking about it, I'd rather have a ride on a ride, not a walk on a ride, and if I want a view, I'll ride Sky Trek Tower or Giant Drop. Plus, on many coasters, the view wouldn't be the greatest. The only good ones to be stuck on for a view would be high on Bull's lift, Eagle, or Shockwave, but thats gone. The other ones I don't think would be tall enough to get a view worth not riding for. I know you wouldn't get much of a view on Batman, unless you're front seat, Wolf, because it faces the ride graveyard, Superman, because you face the ground, Whizzer, because you're surrounded by trees, or Viper, because you're far away from everything and it's not very tall. Demon might be ok, you wouldn't be very high up, but you'd be facing a good portion of the park. Otherwise, there are very few chain-based coasters that would be worth getting stuck on.

I got stuck on S:UF at SfOg back in March. I was actually scared looking straight down at the ground . We were stuck for about 15 miutes 3/4 of the way up the lift.
