What should replace Deja Vu and Splashwater Falls?

I would very much wish for a dive coaster. Haha. I wouldn't spend so much time on those pictures if i didn't like the idea. I jsut want something decent to replace Deja Vu! We need to show that betrayer "Aftershock" that our park has moved on in better ways! Aftershock will laugh at us if it's replaced by a water ride.... We need to make it jelous and replace it with something BIG! But will that happen? No body knows. Maybe some of us do... But its hard to tell. Hopefully, we wil lget a nice coaster. Maybe not. Corporate probably thinks we got our Dark Knight, and we dont need anything for another five years... Shapiro was at our park a few times! Maybe he noticed we need something new...

Compare it like this.... For our Raging Bull, Magic Mountain has Goliath (closest i can find), for our V2, they have Superman: The Escape, for our Superman, they have Tatsu, for our blank spot they have Deja Vu, for our iron wold they have Riddler's Revenge, or Viper. SEE?! It doesn't add up... Im just saying... Magic Mountain can go without one coaster for a year... If them getting that wooden coaster is true... they shoull drop thh plannfor Magic Mountain, and sneak us in a nice new thrill ride... They can get the Splash Battle... their waterpark doesnt look that big, they deserve a water ride more, we deserve a coaster more. If they would switch that up betwwen their park and our park, budget on rides wouldn't change and the world will be happy.

If anything we should get rid of another kiddie section like Looney Toons National Park. No one goes there, even on busy days! Plus if we get rid of that there would be more room for a new coaster.

They know very well how Dark Knight turned out. A kiddie area is probably not even a possibility. They know right now a coaster is worth the money more than a area for kids. A coaster has more advertising opportunites and would bring in more people for 2009. I agree Looney Tunes National Park is a waste of space. For those that said there is not enough room for a coaster, there are many shops and LTNP that can be taken out. They have a good relationship with the B&M people. You never know until they say something themselves.

Ok, seriouisly. If it really is true that Six Flags is thinking of putting in a Thomas Town at GAm (which I highly, highly doubt), then they have really lost their minds (wait, that's already happened.) We already have:

-Looney Tunes National Park
-Camp Cartoon
-Wiggles World

Any I'm missing? Seriously, we already have 3 kiddie areas, one of which is completely pointless. Are they trying to turn the park into a kiddie playground, or Kiddieland? It would be especially dumb after putting in TDK, with how it turned out. It seems many people don't really like the ride. I enjoy it myself, but I do think they could have made it some awesome B&M or something.

I'm not saying I believe it, because I don't. But there's always that small chance that it could be true. I really don't think Six Flags is that dumb though.

If they want to put in a family ride, how about a giant ferris wheel. I really wish SFGAm had a giant ferris wheel, ever since they took out Sky Whirl. That would definitely be a good addition.

And as for a coaster, I'd personally prefer a floorless over a dive machine, but I'd be happy with either. A floorless might not fit as well as a dive machine would.

Look for a huge overhaul of County Fair (not neccesarily for 2009) - But within a few years, this WILL turn into the kiddy section of the park. Annnnnd I'll leave it at that

Definitely NOT my opinion - it's a fact.
My contact is actually leaving the park - to move up on the corporate ladder, to the NYC office.

Why are you listening to this guy? He is as credible, for all the wrong reasons, as screamscape. Stop listening! I have yet to see a park with 4 kiddie areas especially since that would put Wiggle's right next to Thomas Town. Never going to happen.

ehhh...what I do know is that with the sucky economy the park will try to make the best investments possible and I don't think a kiddie area will do anything for the park. Or help drive ticket sales. C'mon. Everyone wants a new ride. We might have to wait another year but it will happen before 2010 is done I know it. Great America is probably the second most spoiled park. Something is added every few years.

Oh, really? Can you show me this artwork? I really hate it when people say things they have no proof of when it's so early in the season still. Nobody honestly believes you so why not stop while you're ahead. We all heard the rumor about a Splash Battle ride. We all heard the Thomas Town rumor. Unfortunately, for you, yu are not Six Flags and therefore no merit to what you say. You don't know the budget. You don't know what the park can and can't afford. They saved a lot of money by getting rid of Deja Vu and Splashwater Falls. We might loose another ride...cough...Iron Wolf...cough..Whizzer...cough cough but they also JUST added a kiddie area last year. So again, let's be realistic on all levels. What also might happen is we might see a Splashbattle for next year but also loose Whizzer or another ride/area which drains the budget and get a major coaster for 2010. The possibilities are endless.

Since when has that stopped Six Flags before? Now they're in major debt because of it. As long as the new addition isn't a kiddie area and actually benefeits Six Flags, i'm okay with anything.

Whizzer is one of those rides that aren't that popular and end up costing the park a lot of money every year in operating costs. It's had a great run but I don't think anyone will be crying over it very long. Why keep Whizzer and/or Iron Wolf which most complain about when times are tough and most would rather lose one ride that is old and get a newer, faster and more intense one that can finally bring in some good publicity for the park. Whizzer/Iron Wolf/Looney Tunes Park/Dark Knight are or will be on life support very soon if something needs to go any of these the general public I'm sure will not miss for long. Ok, I'll give DK some time but you never know.

I would assume County Fair will be overhauled, I mean...half of it is practically gone now...nobody actually knows with what though...people like to *think* they know, but I'm pretty sure no one knows besides corporate/upper management and they don't give away secrets unless they don't mind losing their job.

To play Devil's Advocate here...you say not to listen to the person posting 3 places (or so) above you because he had no "valid" sources, and yet you come up with a plan from 2009-2012. So...not to be mean, but why should we be listening to you I guess is where I'm trying to get here. Nothing has been made official, and probably won't be until September-ish, especially if they plan to use the announcement to drive early season pass sales again like they have with HH and TDK.

If you looks back in the forum from when sfgamworld converted to this site and such, you will see how the rumors were played out... Wasn't Whizzer supposed to be replaced by some dark ride or something? Tumbleweed? Ahh... Did that happen? I don't think so.

I don't know where i saw this, but Superman was supposed to be 230ft tall. There was going to be a mega coaster coming in that year, well according to rumors, but that didn't happen this year.

What were the rumors before dark knight? There were plenty, but not all were true! I can't believe you are so confident on the kiddie area! I can tell you guys that i know some one from corporate, but I don't. I can email scream scape with fake astwork showing the dive machine if I wanted to!
Now, I am not saying that kiddie thing isn't true, but it's just another POSSIBILITY.

Now, let's try to see the possibilities of those. Research that Splash Battle. Would it fit in our park? Does it require something we got rid of other rides for? Does it have good uptime? Anyone have proof about it? Answer these questions by doing some research and you will see the possibility. Spalsh Battle is by Mack I believe. Call and find out!

What about the Dive Machine? What the budget for rides for our park? Would the Dive Machine exceed it? Didn't B&M have some contract about the Dive Machine? Costs, Uptime?

And finally kid area... Camp Cartoon, Wiggles, and Bug's Bunny. Bug's Bunny isn't so popular. Maybe they will make something out of that... Wiggles... Does it attract? Camp Cartoon... How many kids are there? How many toddlers are at the park compared to adults? What benefit would these kid parks do to the adults... You can bring your kid there and miss out on the big rides... OR you can get a sitter or family memeber to watch your kid and go on the big rides! Would the kid's area bring more kids in the park?

Sorry for the questions, but you have to ask and answer them! We are roller coaster fanatic s here! That's why we are registered to this site! We love Great America! Let's not sit around talking about rumors, but THINK of possibilities! I'm sure we can figure out what will happen. Remember... Shapiro has a five year plan for our park! What will happen next?!
