Paint Giant Drop

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby onyxhotel08 on Mon Jul 07, 2008 3:45 pm
anyone else feeling unimpressed by Giant Drop's color? Has Bull been the only painted ride at the park the last few years? It's a cool ride but the color is faded and does nothing for Southwest Territory.

Paint:
Giant Drop
Iron Wolf
YC/LR
***Dark Knight box***

yeah i guess it makes it fit in with the whole "theme" but i think they should make it look a little better it looks rusty and old and iron wolf should be painted also.

Both flumes were just painted last spring, the green spraypaint blew onto a bunch of cars in the employee parking lot as well as Ragin Cajuns control panel.

Oh yes and they ones with the constant questions about season passes/parking/crowds/flash passes are not stupid. Just mine huh? I actually say things to try and offer good advice so that the park looks better. That is the whole point. You answering by saying this and that thread are pointless are what does not make sense.

I think that all of Six Flags needs some added charm, but I just don't think they have the money for that right now.

I think that they should paint a scene from brokeback mountain on the top of the ride.

This thread is pointless.

First I do think that Iron Wolf, Loggers Run, Yankee Clipper, and Giant Drop should be painted. I also think that Superman needs a touch up as well. I wouldn't mind seeing Chubasco get touched up either because some of those teacups are starting to look rundown, but that isn't a top priority as the ride isn't that bad yet.

The paint on Bull looks so beautiful which makes it more necessary for GD to get a touch-up in 2009 or 2010 the latest. It is 11 years old already. I think we will start seeing more painting going on as part of the new deal they struck for painting coasters last year. So far, I think Bull got it and rightfully so. Dark Knight needs it badly though. That box is so ugly. Like a wearhouse instead of a new ride. Granted, the harsh winter this year prevented construction from finishing on time. I just think Giant Drop is small enough that a new paint color will not be that hard to do for next year.

There has been more bickering and flaming in this topic than actual conversation about Giant Drop's paint color, which I would say hasn't been discussed on this board for a long time.

If you dont like the topic, then don't post in it. If everyone thinks its dumb then nobody will post and the thread will make its way to the bottom, but don't go and flame other members for their ideas for topics. If it has been discussed already the mods will handle that.

No more flaming. This is getting locked.
