Ken Edwards of England can rest easy. His cockroach-eating world record is safe.

At a Six Flags Great America-sponsored cockroach-eating contest Friday night, no one came close to beating Edwards' 2001 record of downing, gulp, 36 Madagascar hissing cockroaches in one minute.

Maybe I'm glad I haven't eaten one, yet. I really dislike bananas, the smell even makes me want to puke. People who can do 36 in one minute are nuts.

I wanted to participate but Im 17 so I couldnt do it. In the qualifying rounds this one guy downed the cockroaches in a few seconds and everyone else took twice as long or more. I thought that guy was going to win but he only downed 4. At the end of the contest they bent the rules and the 4 or 5 people who ate the most cockroaches won the 4 season passes and exit passes. If SF has the contest next year Im definetly going to give it a shot.

The russian ate a cockroach yesterday afternoon and I talked about it with him. He said it tasted like a sour banana that was sitting on the ground for 4 days and then got peed on. If you couldnt tell by reading his response hes a very funny guy.
