Getting to Great America Easier

Announcements & News From The Homepage

An attendance surge at Great America and other factors last year led to frequent problems on Gurnee thoroughfares and the Tri-State Tollway, a popular route for visitors traveling from south of Lake County.

New measures are in place to prevent a repeat of last summer's traffic nightmares linked to Six Flags Great America in Gurnee.

Should problems develop in Great America's parking lot, Patrick said, Gurnee authorities will be notified quickly. He said a direct cellular telephone connection will link police with Great America security in the lot.

Hey, here's an idea. How about putting parking attendents in the parking lot to direct traffic from park close to an hour an a half after close. That way peeps won't be cussing each other out and threatening you. After the park is closed, it just gets nuts in the lot and people just act like total jags. Maybe they should step back and take a look at how dang stupid they act and straighten their sorry azzes out and grow up. You'll get home. I know that when I go to the park we just sit there and laugh at all the idiots cursing and what not. It's a riot to watch them make jerks of themselves.
Candy: What you lookin' at?
Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama.
Candy: Yeah, you see something you like?
Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
