Invisible Spam?

I've recently noticed many of the new members are spammers but they don't post spam. Is this a new trend of spammers or is the mod squad Kinda Ka fast in responding and deleting the threads I've never seen?

A lot of spammers just join and never post. Just by looking at there profile, most of the time you can tell its a spammer.

But why aren't they posting? I'm not complaining, I'm just baffled. They are trying to advertise, but a dormant username won't do much.

Lately at another forum, they have been posting lame jokes.

The spam bots register, but since we require e-mail validation they cannot post until the e-mail is validated. Since most aren't smart enough to use a e-mail system with the spam bot they just sit idle. Some do get through and will post, but there are very few of those.

I've seen a couple topics made by spammers. Both were about free "legal" mp3 downloading.

Deleting the spammers is a pain in the ass. I deleted 60 of them yesterday on my forum. Took forever.
