GOLD Flash Pass. Difference from Regular? Worth it?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I know i have made a topic similar to this before, but I am going this Saturday and with the weather in the mid to upper 70's and sunny, i am guessing it will be huge crowds.

I just want to know from people with experience (not copy and pasted text from the site that it is 75% shorter)

-How long on average do you wait with GOLD
-Is it that much better then regular?
-Do you still have to reserve a time, or do you just walk up to that 15 minute mark and go in?

Thanks! hoping its worth it. 2 person plus the $10 off coupon from the book makes it about 25 bucks split for me and my friend.

Umm this topic has been covered to death on the thread below. Do we really need another one on the flash pass? Couldn't you just post there?

its easy to avert your eyes from the topic. There is plenty of dumb topics in my opinion.

My question is not covered in that topic. Nobody describes exactly how the gold functions, only the regular where you wait the entire line length.

Maybe some people would like to have a good idea of what they will be getting for the high price of it. Regardless if you think its worth it or not some of us are used to riding alot and don't find waiting 2 hours for some of the rides worth it and are willing to drop money to speed up the process

because its the same as the regular you just wait less I think 15% or 75% less im not too sure but really it's not worth gettting. Use your money on other things. Yes it would be alot shorter but if you think about it what can you do in that time that your waiting for your reservation with the gold. You can't really do much. Like I said before wait until atleast an hour after opening and if it's crowded get it. But check out the line wait times even if it is crowded youll be able to get on alot it was pretty crowded today and I got on alot of rides without a flashpass.

A flash pass is a nice way to insure you will get all the rides in you want to. You CANNOT get to everything on a weekend without at least 1-3 rides having long lines (Superman, Batman and Raging Bull). Some lines move fast and are worth it like the water rides. I once waited about 30 minutes for Roaring Rapids. With a Gold flash pass that would be 5-10 minutes tops. The best time to go to a theme park is always a weekday when a lot of people are at work. The gold flash pass is ridiculously expensive though.

I just got back from SF...and I got the Gold pass today...for 2 people...we both had season passes...so it was just like going there and having to buy 2 day tickeys to get in...and we only had to wait no more than 20 min for any ride..we rode around 12 coasters in about 5.5 hrs...would still be there...but the t-storms acted as if they were there for pretty much the rest of the evening. So i guess if you have the season pass already....i would get it...without it...we would of probably cut the number of rides down from 12...to about 6. Mosyt lines werennt to bad...but a few like superman...and b atman was at least a hr long wait without the pass.

Pass was $89.00 and we had a $10 off coupon..so it worked out pretty nice
