Steve has updated his site with pics of Eagles Flight and Delta Flyer. You can also see Southern Cross which was only at the Gurnee park.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I AM TO SEE THIS! Ever since I first started going to the park, I noticed that the funnel cake foundry always looked so different. Why the height elevation, why the queue line looking like table pathway? I am so amazed I finally get to see it after all these years wow.

Southern Cross was removed partially because if it became stuck, it was so tall the nearest ladder trucks that were tall enough to get people down were located in Chicago, and that in fact happened at least once in it's short existence. Also at other parks cars had dropped from the wire, Six Flags just didn't care for the liability.

With proper maintenance and guest behavior SkyRides are entirely safe. Really wish they were still here at SFGAm. Southern Cross actually lasted for a shorter time than Deja Vu did.

I guess they thought the train and sky tower was enough to see the whole park.

The thing is, SFGAm isn't that big of a park. I don't really need to see any other type of transportation other than the train.

I'd take Delta/Eagle over the train though.

Its not about transportation for these kinds of attractions...its seeing an view from above. Relaxing for a few minutes and taking in the sights, like Sky Trek Tower.

I used to love the Skyway at WDW. The line for it was always long. And if you wanted it for transportation, you could easily walk from Fantasyland to Tommorowland quicker than waiting in line.

I remember the station in County Fair (the Funnel Cake Factory now), but where was the other station?

^ The other station was in Orleans Place, where Condor now stands.

In between Condor and the Sky ride, the park placed their Banyan Curve there, and named it, of all things "Delta Flyer".

Then, they took that out when Condor came in 1991. Not sure what the park did with the Banyan Curve after 1991.

And a bit more history....the Banyan Curve first opened at the park in 1976 as "Yukon Yahoo".

But that's what I'm saying. We already have a train and an observation tower. We don't need another transportation/take-in-the-sights ride.
