3 : 2009 Opening Day

3 : Mr. Six Look-alike and Dance Contest
Join us on Opening
Day, Friday, April 3 to participate in a Mr. Six Look-alike
and Dance Contest.
Plus,
any Guest dressed up as Mr. Six will be able to purchase
a park admission for only $6! Must purchase at the park.

Guests
must wear the following: a black jacket, black pants,
bald cap or shaved head, glasses and red bow-tie.

3 - June 16 : Math & Science Days
Elementary and middle school students enjoy an interactive
day of academic thrills at the Midwest’s most exciting
outdoor classroom.

14 : 5K Walk/Run and Kids Dash
Participants of all ages will race among roller
coasters at the first annual 5K walk/run and Kids Dash
at Six Flags Great America. Each participant will receive
admission into theme park, free parking, an event t-shirt,
goody bag and participant award. Prizes will also be awarded

2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. : Music in the Parks
Six Flags hosts the annual award ceremonies presented
by MUSIC IN THE PARKS.

2 & May 3 : Coasters for a Cause
Six Flags Great America offers non-profit organizations
a fundraising opportunity through the sale of tickets
to this event. Guests will experience thrilling rides,
great food and exciting shows while raising money supporting

2 & June 6 : Scout Day
Girl and Boy Scouts are invited to get their
thrill on at Six Flags Great America! Experience rollercoasters,
family rides, kids areas and Hurricane Harbor Water Park

Showcase your squad’s
talents at our 15th Annual Dance Fest. Dance Fest is a
non-competitive event that takes place right here at Six
Flags.

7 : Physics Day
Teachers and students explore the inside and
upside downs of physics in an amusement park in this hands-on
educational event.

8 : Marketing Day
High school students get a behind-the-scenes
glimpse of how entertainment giant Six Flags Great America
sells fun while working on their own creative marketing
project.

16 : Music Showcase Festival
Six Flags hosts
the annual award ceremonies presented by MUSIC SHOWCASE
FESTIVALS.

22 - September 7 : STARBURST® Summer Concert Series
Jesse McCartney, Raven Symone
and Miranda Cosgrove are coming to
Six Flags Great America as part of the STARBURST®
Summer Concert Series. Concert dates and more artists
will be announced soon, so stay tuned! Concerts are free
with your Season Pass or park admission.

27 : A Walk in the Park
Six Flags Friends and Cure Kids Cancer partner
to raise money for pediatric cancer research with a benefit

16 : Jesse McCartney LIVE in Concert
Six Flags Great America presents Jesse McCartney LIVE
at the STARBURST® Summer Concert Series. Concerts
are free with your season pass or park admission.

18 : Deaf and Hard of Hearing Day
Six Flags hosts the 14th annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Day. This event is sponsored by Lake County Center for
Independent Living. There will be sign language interpreters
in the park assigned to various shows and facilities.
A schedule of interpreted events will be available at
Guest Relations. Check back for more details.
September
10 : Home School Day
Students head out
of the classroom for a private event for home-schooled
families. Check back for more information.
October
2 - November 1 : Fright Fest
It’s Thrills by Day,
Chills by Night at Fright Fest Presented by SNICKERS®.
Six Flags Great America will be totally transformed into
a Halloween playground, Friday - Sunday, October 2 - November
1. You’ll have a ghoulish good time with our hair-raising
shows, electrifying street entertainment and thrilling
haunted houses. Plus, experience all your favorite rides
in the dark. We’ll also have a special trick-or-treat
trail just for kids.
